Dunking Parrot Software came into existence in late 1997.  Our intention at that time was to produce an internet enabled cribbage game.  As it turned out, some one else had already done it, so we quietly faded away for awhile.  Then in 1998, we saw a need to produce a TCP/IP business chat program.  There were already many chat tools on the market, but they were all geared toward home users, and usually relied on public based Internet Relay Chat (IRC) servers.  What we needed was a self contained chat program that we could market exclusively to businesses.

The result was the highly acclaimed Dunking Parrot Chat, which is now in it's fifth incarnation and still going strong.  Shortly after the release of Chat, the hunting game market began to show it's face with the million seller "Deer Hunter" from the now defunct Sunstorm Interactive.  When Deer Hunter was released, we decided to make our own hunting game, the result of which was North Carolina Dove Hunter.  NCDH was picked up by Valusoft and released to the public on a "Top 100 Games" CD.

Dunking Parrot's latest entry is Trap and Skeet Scorekeeper, a program to track your personal scores and averages at any and all clay pigeon games.  Available for $15.00, the Scorekeeper CD also includes the full version of Dove Hunter and a shareware copy of Dunking Parrot Chat.

Dunking Parrot Software has a special policy that makes most of our source code available immediately to end users!  You can purchase the entire source directory for some programs on CD!  This source code compiles under Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 SP5 on a Pentium 4 class machine  We can't guarantee that the code will compile as is on your machine (it should), but we do guarantee that it compiled on ours with no errors.  Please contact us at almanac@wingshooters.net if you wish to purchase the source code for any of our products.
